It’s about uncovering your creative voice, understanding the message behind your work, and creating with intention. Whether you're just starting out or refining your craft, this episode will guide you through what it takes to align your art practice with who you truly are.
We share practical tips to help you develop a consistent body of work, set intentional goals, and build clarity around what you want your art to say.
We talk through the reasons why artists may seek an art style that is recognisable as their own. Laura describes this as a journey of self discovery and a way to gain clarity and direction. Ros adds that your voice as an artist is more than an aesthetic style, it also relates to the message you want to convey and the impact you want your art to have on the world.
Laura notes that while the stage of finding your style is a fun one, once you have hit your stride as an artist and built your confidence, it is important not to get stuck in the learning phase. The goal must then become to put your learning into practice.

- Set your intentions
- Do some practical prioritisation - consider your routine, time blocking, boundaries
- Do the work with awareness around your motivators and how you work best
- Consider developing a portfolio
- Do some reflection - journaling/talking
